Cynthia dreams of the day she can sit down and poetically express her visions and dreams through the written language…. yet when thinking of who she is, her thoughts are, “I believe I’m under the category, ‘Miscellaneous'”.  Yup! That’s me… I’m a cotton & lace type of girl.  I was asked one day what type of person I am? My reply, “I’m a cotton and lace type of girl”.  I can get down and dirty in some comfy cotton-ware and pull myself together with lace when need be.    You see, I have five amazingly hilarious children and a husband that honestly is my gift from heaven.  I’m a pastor’s wife, a mommy, an executive director for a NPO, a sister to the best two brothers ever and a proud daughter [of the most precious parents] who has a gazillion things to do and find time to do it all. How…. Honestly, I’ll let you know about it in one of the blogs.  LOL! But here is a secret, God is my source in All things.

How did this blog come to be? Like everyone else, I think… Questions.  Have you ever had that one person ask you something and when you hang up the phone you say, “MAN! I could have answered that so much better”.  I find that many times, through all the to-do list on my desk, behind all the conversations with people I just want to give my heart and be a help in any way.  Well, this blog is it.

My prayers are that I can be a help to anyone out there.  The mother, daughter, sister, wife, ministry person, etc.  You name it! Feel free to comment.  It’s always great to interact with people… we are all so different and that’s the beauty of the human race.  So feel free to jump into the blog’s conversations at any time…

Cynthia, sueña con el día que ella pueda sentarse y expresar poéticamente sus sueños  y visiones a través del lenguaje escrito…. Aun pensando en quién es, sus pensamientos son: “Yo creo que estoy bajo la categoría: ‘Otros’”.  ¡Sip! Esa soy yo!… Soy una chica del tipo de algodón y encaje [en ingles; algodón = cotton y encaje = lace]. Me preguntaron un día, qué tipo de persona soy? Mi respuesta, “Soy una chica del tipo de algodón y encaje”. Puedo trabajar y ensuciarme en ropa cómoda de algodón y reponerme con el encaje cuando sea necesario. [es por eso que el nombre de mi blog es cottonandlace].  ¿Ves?, tengo cinco niños increíblemente divertidos, y un esposo que honestamente, es mi regalo del cielo. Soy una esposa de un pastor, una mamá, una directora ejecutiva de una Organización sin Ánimo de Lucro, soy hermana de los dos mejores hermanos del mundo y una hija orgullosa [de padres preciosos] que tiene un millón de cosas por hacer y encuentra el tiempo para hacerlo todo. ¿Cómo..?!… Honestamente, te dejaré saber en uno de los blogs! ¡jajaja! Pero aquí hay un secreto: Dios es mi fuente en TODAS las cosas.

¿Cómo surgió este blog? Como todo el mundo, creo…. Preguntas. ¿Alguna vez te ha pasado que una persona te pregunta algo, y cuando cuelgas el teléfono tú dices: “¡Aahh, qué rabia! Pude haber contestado eso mucho mejor”. Encuentro que muchas veces, entre toda la lista de cosas para hacer en mi escritorio; detrás de todas las conversaciones con la gente, yo sólo quiero dar mi corazón y ser una ayuda a como dé lugar.

Bueno, eso es este blog.

Mis oraciones son que yo pueda ser una ayuda para cualquier persona. La mamá, la hija, la hermana, la esposa, la ministra, etc…quien sea! Siéntete libre para dejar un comentario.
